 Vlada Strange is a visionary costume and fashion designer known for her bold, theatrical, and dreamlike creations that transform fashion into art. A graduate of FIDM in Los Angeles, Vlada began her career working behind the scenes in film, television, and music—collaborating with icons like Al Jourgensen (Ministry) and Luke Steele (Empire of the Sun). Her unique perspective and flair for storytelling through style have earned her a place in the wardrobes of musicians, performers, and fashion-forward clients alike.

Her designs have been featured in legendary Los Angeles boutiques such as Forgotten Saints LA, where rockstars and creatives turn for unforgettable looks on stage and red carpet.

Vlada is the creator of Baby Strange, an experimental fashion label born in California and featured in VoyageLA Magazine. The brand blended avant-garde design with emotional expression until its pause during the 2021 pandemic.

Now based in North Carolina, Vlada continues to offer custom design services both locally and online. Her work is deeply influenced by her Eastern European roots and global travels, drawing inspiration from folklore, traditional craftsmanship, and contemporary art. She uses hand-dyeing, textile manipulation, embroidery, and appliqué techniques to create clothing that is rich in texture, meaning, and atmosphere.
